During Jump Festa 2025, Toei Animation announced the One Piece anime will return on April 6, 2025 on a new evening timeslot. New episodes will premiere at 11:15 p.m. JST on Saturdays on Fuji TV and affiliate channels.
It was also confirmed that Subaru Kimura will be taking over the role of Franky in the One Piece anime. He will be replacing longtime voice actor Kazuki Yao, who’s “graduating” from the role of Franky.

Moreover, Crunchyroll recently announced that all One Piece anime arcs past episode 206, the end of Sky Island, will be exclusive to Crunchyroll Premium going forward. The Water 7 to Fishman Island arcs will be exclusive to Crunchyroll Premium starting December 23. Punk Hazard all the way to Whole Cake Island will become exclusive on January 20, alongside six specials. What’s more, Reverie, Wano Kuni, and Egghead Island arcs will become exclusive on February 17.
Previously, a special edited version of the Fishman Island arc premiered on November 3, running for 21 episodes as One Piece Log: Fishman Island Saga. It has remade scenes, retouched artwork and color shading, adjusted lighting, a Dolby Atmos soundtrack, and more. It was originally planned to premiere on October 27.
Lastly, the new One Piece Base mobile app launched in Japan with a manga viewer and additional content from the franchise. This new app is expected to release outside Japan in 2025 with multi-language support. Fans will be able to scan bar codes from select One Piece merchandise into the web version of the app to receive points and unlock chapters to read.
