The official Twitter account for Eiichiro Oda and his staff confirm that the “Special Edited Version” of the One Piece anime’s Fish-Man Island arc has been delayed to November 3. The edited 21-episode series, titled One Piece Log: Fish-Man Island Saga, was originally planned to premiere on October 27.
According to Oda’s staff, the Special Edited Version of the One Piece Fish-Man Island arc was delayed due to the live broadcast of the MLB World Series. The second game of the World Series was scheduled for the morning of October 27 (JST). Once more, the edited anime will have remade scenes, retouched artwork and color shading, adjusted lighting, a Dolby Atmos soundtrack, and more.

The One Piece manga will return in the 50th issue of Weekly Shonen Jump, which releases on November 11. It’s also worth noting that the One Piece anime will also be on break, but for a much longer period. The anime will return with new weekly episodes in April 2025, and more details about the Egghead Arc adaptation will be revealed at Jump Festa 2025.
The One Piece Fan Letter special episode aired on October 20. It adapted the Straw Hat Stories novel by Tomohito Ohsaki. One Piece Fan Letter is directed by Megumi Ishitani and scripted by Momoka Toyoda. Keisuke Mori is the character designer and animation director for the new episode as well.
Moreover, Funko unveiled its One Piece anime 25th anniversary Funko POP Plus statues of Monkey D. Luffy and Roronoa Zoro. These two bronze statues are now available to pre-order for $25 each through October 17 at 9:30 a.m. PT, with an estimated ship date of June 27, 2025.
