Alongside the surprising announcement that the Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter remake announced a fall 2025 release, Nihon Falcom has also announced that Ys X: Nordics will be re-released in 2025 as Ys X: Proud Nordics.
According to the teaser website, Ys X: Proud Nordics features a new story, as well as numerous elements and upgrades, including new bosses, Mana Ride races, battles in the arena where deadly enemies await, new Mana Actions, and much more.
Unfortunately, as to what those new features will entail, or the title’s platforms, or even whether publisher NIS America will step in to publish this title in the west, are all just a big unknown at the moment. We’ll post updates as more information is unveiled.
In case you need a refresher, in Ys X: Nordics, Adol Christin and his trusty companion Dogi head into Obelia Bay for a new adventure. While in Obelia Bay, Adol meets Karja Balta, the daughter of the Balta Navy leader and the game’s heroine.
Ys X: Nordics is currently available now for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. Finally, visit Final Weapon’s extensive coverage of Falcom RPGs below:
