A Nintendo Switch version of Ys: Memories of Celceta was also announced by Falcom during the December 19 shareholder’s meeting. In addition, Falcom will release Ys X: Proud Nordics as an enhanced version with new story content.
Previously, the initial reveal trailer and its English screenshots implied that the game’s localization is based on the Trails in the Sky FC script from XSEED Games. Moreover, the remake is being made entirely in-house at Falcom.
Thus far, The Legend of Heroes: Trails series has sold 8.5 million copies worldwide. The Trails series reached this milestone just one month after reaching eight million copies sold on August 9. The sales momentum is due in part to the western release of The Legend of Heroes: Trails through Daybreak.
The Legend of Heroes: Kai no Kiseki -Farewell, O Zemuria-, the latest game in the Trails series, released on September 26 in Japan for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. As the prophesized 120X date draws near, heroes are drawn to Calvard, including returning Class VII members like protagonist Rean Schwarzer, Crow Armbrust, and Altina Orion.
