On Twitter/X, Nintendo announced the classic Tetris game is coming to the Nintendo Switch Online – NES app for Nintendo Switch on December 12. Tetris is included in the base Nintendo Switch Online subscription.

Previously, Nintendo added ToeJam & Earl in Panic on Funkotron, Mercs, and Vectorman are now available in the Nintendo Switch Online – SEGA Genesis app. Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscribers have instant access to these games in their respective apps, which are exclusive to that tier.
Nintendo also recently added classic Game Boy title Donkey Kong Land 2 is now available for the Nintendo Switch Online – Game Boy app, just a few days after the previous game came to Nintendo Switch. Nintendo Switch Online subscribers simply need to start up the app and update to the latest version to start playing Donkey Kong Land 2.
What’s more, Nintendo added both Shadow Man and Turok 2: Seeds of Evil to the Nintendo Switch Online – Nintendo 64: MATURE 17+ collection. These games are playable on the Nintendo 64: MATURE 17+ app, a separate app from the standard Nintendo Switch Online – Nintendo 64 app.
Nintendo regularly brings more games to the Nintendo Switch Online service, including classic Game Boy and SNES games. Subscribers may upgrade to the Expansion Pack tier for access to Nintendo 64 and Game Boy Advance games. This year saw the additions of Microsoft’s Rare catalog, Mother 3 (Japan only), Super R-Type, F-ZERO Maximum Velocity, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team, the Starfy series, and much more.
