During the recent Nintendo Partner Showcase, the company announced that several Rare games will be coming to the Nintendo Switch Online service. This includes Killer Instinct, Blast Corps, and more.
Throughout the 90s and early 2000s, Rare released several games for Nintendo systems. Examples include Killer Instinct, Banjo Kazooie, Perfect Dark, Goldeneye 007, Conker’s Bad Fur Day, Donkey Kong 64, and more. Currently, Microsoft owns the Rare studio. While they are currently working on Sea of Thieves and other upcoming games, they have ported other games to the NSO such as Banjo Kazooie and Goldeneye.
Killer Instinct, Blast Corps, and More Rare Games Available Now on Nintendo Switch Online
During the recent Nintendo Partner SHowcase, the company announced that several Rare games will be coming to NSO alongside certain other games. These include Killer Instinct, Battletoads in Battlemaniacs on the SNES, Snake Rattle N Roll and R.C. Pro-Am on the NES, and Blast Corps on the N64. All five games are available now on the Nintendo Switch Online service. Check out the trailer below:
It’s also worth noting that Mother 3 is also available now on the NSO, however, it is available only in Japan. It is currently unknown if it will come to the West at any point. Further, other Rare games such as Donkey Kong 64, Killer Instinct Gold, and more are also not yet available on the NSO service. Only time will tell if these games will eventually end up on the Nintendo Switch Online service.
