Ahead of the game’s launch, Square Enix and Mistwalker announced Fantasian Neo Dimension is Steam Deck verified. This means that Fantasian Neo Dimension is fully optimized for the Steam Deck with suitable control and UI configurations, along with performance settings tailored to the platform.
Hironobu Sakaguchi is directly involved in this project nearly 20 years after leaving Square Enix, with Nobuo Uematsu as the composer. To commemorate the collaborative effort between Sakaguchi and Square Enix, Fantasian Neo Dimension will have music tracks from Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster, Final Fantasy VII Remake, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker, Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail, and Final Fantasy XVI. Final Creative Studio 3’s Naoki Yoshida is also involved with the release of the updated game.
Fantasian Neo Dimension launches December 5 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. The game will also be released physically for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5. Digital and physical pre-orders include the Vibran Secret Stone jewel, which increases EXP gains.
