Nintendo has released the version 13.0.3 update for Super Smash Bros Ultimate, along with patch notes. The update primarily fixes a bug that causes Global Smash Power to not return to its appropriate levels during network disruptions in an online match.

- Fixed an issue in which Global Smash Power would not return to appropriate levels when the connection was disrupted with specific timing at the end of a match.
- Note: There may be compatibility issues with replays from Ver. 9.0.0 to 13.0.2. Replays from Ver. 8.1.0 and earlier are not compatible. If you want to keep your replays, convert them into videos before installing the update. You can do this via Vault → Replays → Replay Data → Convert to Video.
In January 2024, Super Smash Bros Ultimate director Masahiro Sakurai confirmed that he was “wrapping up” his YouTube channel. He’s still committed to creating and developing new games in the future, however. The final scheduled episode for his YouTube channel, Masahiro Sakurai on Creating Games, will release on Tuesday, October 15. A special finale episode will release sometime afterward.
Over 33 million copies of Super Smash Bros Ultimate by the end of 2023, and multiple new Spirit events have been held in 2024 thus far. The previous update (version 13.0.2) released on February 14 with support for the Kingdom Hearts Sora amiibo.
Super Smash Bros Ultimate was released on December 8, 2018, for Nintendo Switch. Two Fighter’s Pass expansions were released, adding a total of twelve new fighters to the game. Over one hundred stages and one thousand music tracks are featured in the game alongside its 89 fighters.
