Previously, Arc System Works released a notice to confirm that Hunter x Hunter: Nen x Impact has been delayed to 2025 for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. The developers for Hunter x Hunter: Nen x Impact noted that the game was delayed in order to implement rollback netcode. The game was planned to release with delay based netcode, but the developers decided to use rollback to ensure smooth online matches.
Hunter X Hunter: Nen X Impact will launch with 16 characters. Eighting, the developers of DNF Duel and Marvel vs Capcom 3, are lending their expertise in the genre for this new game. Their other titles include the series of Naruto: Clash of Ninja, Bleach: Heat the Soul, and Tatsunoko vs Capcom.
After a near year-and-a-half-long hiatus by mangaka Yoshihiro Togashi, the Hunter x Hunter manga returned on October 7 in Weekly Shonen Jump. The new chapter, chapter 401, is available in the 45th issue of the weekly magazine. Moreover, new Hunter x Hunter chapters are simultaneously published worldwide through VIZ Media and Manga Plus.
Togashi first announced his hiatus in January 2023, noting that he was facing health issues. Lastly, he noted that the return of the Hunter x Hunter manga means that it will no longer follow a weekly serialized format.
