It is unknown if it’ll ever release on Xbox consoles. Check out the new launch trailer for Silent Hill 2 below:
Silent Hill 2 initially released for the PlayStation 2 in 2001. Earlier this year, Konami and Bloober Team revealed a gameplay trailer for the remake that depicts more of the gameplay that fans can expect from the remake of Silent Hill 2.
It features third-person action similar to the likes of the recent Resident Evil games. Players must keep their wits about them as they navigate this horrifying world. The upcoming remake will release next week, on October 8.
The Steam page describes Silent Hill 2 as follows:
Having received a letter from his deceased wife,
James heads to where they shared so many memories,
in the hope of seeing her one more time: Silent Hill.
There, by the lake, he finds a woman eerily similar to her…
“My name… is Maria,” the woman smiles. Her face, her voice… She’s just like her.
Experience a master-class in psychological horror―lauded as the best in the series―on the latest hardware with chilling visuals and visceral sounds.
Silent Hill 2 will release on October 8 for the PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam.
