Capcom and Niantic announced Monster Hunter Now Season 2 “Dancing in the Tempest” begins on Wednesday, June 12 at 5:00 p.m. PT. The new season will introduce three major content updates, giving players a lot to look forward to this summer.
Starting June 12, Monster Hunter Now players may take on elder dragons in the new Elder Dragon Interceptions feature in Season 2. Kushala Daora will be the first elder dragon added to the game, and more details will be revealed about the new feature at a later date.
Khezu and Basarios are also coming in Monster Hunter Now Season 2. These monsters will appear on the field after players unlocked the corresponding Season 2 story quests. More monsters will be added throughout the course of the season.
Season 2 will add the fan-favorite Gunlance weapon type, which increases attack power as it heats up from firing. Players may unleash the Gunlance’s Wyvern’s Fire, a high-powered attack, and Burstfire, an attack that deals massive damage quickly. Players may also look forward to new hunter medals and skills, including Kushala Frostwind, Artillery, and Special Insurance.
Niantic will give all players an additional 250 slots with a free Item Box Expansion, available as a Supply Item in the shop. Moreover, Niantic will increase the overall limit for the number of times the Item Box capacity can be expanded via gems.
A new Season Pass will be available for Season 2 with a free plan and premium plan. Rewards include cosmetic layered equipment, Zenny, and monster parts.
Special Monster Hunter Stories event quests will be available in Monster Hunter Now as well. By completing the event quests, players will earn limited-edition hunter medals and limited-edition layered outfits.
Lastly, Monster Hunter Now is available now on Android and iOS.
