Capcom announced that the Monster Hunter franchise’s sales have officially topped 100 million units. The company noted that Monster Hunter: World and Monster Hunter Rise were huge contributors to the series’ growth. Capcom delivered this news on their Japanese website.
Monster Hunter Rise released in 2021 and received a premium expansion called Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak in 2022. Capcom promoted broader platform support and long-term worldwide digital sales, which helped both titles grow in sales. This growth alone added 23 million units to the Monster Hunter series’ sales. With Monster Hunter: World, Capcom drove the Monster Hunter series to global-brand status with a series-first worldwide simultaneous launch and international promotional activities, establishing the game as Capcom’s best-selling title of all time within a month of its release.
