On Twitter, FuRyu’s Takumi Isobe also shared a special message to greet NEO: TWEWY fans and the REYNATIS faithful:

“Does the ‘noise’ at the end of the 2nd trailer make sense now? That’s right – we’ve transcended company boundaries to make this exciting collaboration happen! And… surprises don’t just end on April Fools! Marin and the others acquire Reaper Pins and become participants in a strange game… What will happen? Find out in the new Shibuya storyline exclusive to REYNATIS! Please look forward to the fate of Marin and Shoka with excitement! The English version trailer will be released soon! Don’t miss it!”

Development of REYNATIS is led by FuRyu’s Takumi Isobe and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth writer Kazushige Nojima, with Yoko Shimomura (Kingdom Hearts series, Final Fantasy XV) composing the game’s music. This new action RPG also inspiration from the cancelled Final Fantasy Versus XIII title and Kingdom Hearts, as fans explore a world where fantasy meets reality in Shibuya.

Both REYNATIS protagonists may switch to Liberation Mode to deal damage to their targets. While in this mode, Marin and Sari gain a red and blue aura respectively. With proper timing, dodging enemy attacks and switching into Liberation Mode will allow the characters to deal homing attacks to all enemies. This attack is very similar to Kingdom Hearts‘ Shotlock mechanic.

REYNATIS will launch on July 25 starting at 7,980 yen for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 in Japan. A physical Liberators Box Limited Edition will be available for 12,680 yen, and the digital Liberator’s Edition will be available for just 80 yen less than the physical version. Pre-order bonuses include the “Another Weapon” for Marin / Sari, two costumes, and special The Caligula Effect and Monark themed attachments.

Lastly, NIS America will publish REYNATIS this fall for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam.
