Supergiant Games announced the Hades II technical test will be ending on April 29 for PC via Steam. However, this is a great sign for the game’s early access release, which appears to be imminent.
At The Game Awards 2022, Supergiant Games announced Hades II, following the major success of Hades in years prior. Following the show, the developers confirmed that Hades II is set to be released sometime in Q2 2024 for Steam and Epic Games Store on PC only. Similarly to the original Hades, Hades II will launch first in early access, and the technical test allowed players to test out an early portion of the game.
Hades II Technical Test Ends as Early Access Launch Approaches
In a new Steam blog update, Supergiant Games confirmed that the game’s technical test served its purpose, and it will end on April 29. The test helped the team identify technical issues before the early access launch. Once the test ends, it will no longer be accessible in Steam libraries. Fortunately, Supergiant Games notes that the early access launch is happening soon.
“Thank you very much for your patience as we conducted the Hades II Technical Test, Supergiant Games said. “The Test helped us identify and address a number of key technical issues we weren’t able to find before, in preparation to launch Hades II here in Early Access.”
Supergiant Games continued, “We plan to start winding down the Technical Test on Monday, April 29, after which point it will no longer be available in participants’ Steam libraries. However, we plan to launch Hades II in Early Access relatively soon after, so please stay tuned! We hope you share our excitement for Early Access, and really appreciate your support and encouragement during the Test!”
Lastly, Hades II is coming soon to PC in Steam Early Access.
