Psyonix has announced that Rocket League will be getting items inspired by the recent beloved Disney Plus show, X-Men ’97. The collaboration will begin on April 23 and last until May 7.
Rocket League initially came out in 2015 for the PlayStation 4 and PC via Steam. The game would later release on Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Rocket League sees players take control of cars playing a game reminiscent to soccer. Over the years, the game has collaborated with Ratchet and Clank, James Bond, and several car companies.
Rocket League Collaborating With X-Men ’97 From April 23 to May 7
On the official Rocket League website, the developers confirmed that the game would be featuring items and vehicles based on the recent Disney Plus show, X-Men ’97. The collaboration will include decals, toppers, and banners inspired by the series. Additionally, a mega-bundle will be available for 2000 credits. It includes the following:
- Fennec Car Body (Saffron) (700 Credits individually)
- Cyclops Fennec Decal
- Rogue Breakout Decal
- Storm Breakout Decal
- Jean Grey Dominus Decal
- Magneto Dominus Decal
- Jubilee Octane Decal
- Wolverine Octane Decal
- Cyclops’ Optic Blast Boost
- Wolverine Slash Goal Explosion (800 Credits individually)
- Mutant Brotherhood Wheels (400 Credits individually)
X-Men ’97 is the long anticipated follow-up to the original X-Men animated series from the 90s. The series premiered on Disney Plus on March 20, 2024, and has aired weekly episodes ever since. Thus far, six episodes of the series have aired, with the last episode set to premiere on May 15. The streaming service describes it as follows: “A band of mutants use their uncanny gifts to protect a word that hates and fears them.”
Lastly, Rocket League is available now on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. X-Men ’97 is available to watch now on Disney Plus. The upcoming collaboration between the two properties will be available on April 23 and will last until May 7.
