Persona 6 reportedly began in 2019 alongside Persona 5 Tactica and Persona 3 Reload, according to reputable SEGA and ATLUS insider Midori (@MbKKssTBhz5). In addition, Persona 6 will apparently feature a green motif.

After corroborating Persona 3 Reload datamines and The Answer DLC, Midori discussed that Persona 2 and Persona 4 remakes are in the works at ATLUS. All of the Persona 3 Reload rumors turned out to be true, including the Expansion Pass and Episode Aigis -The Answer-. In addition, Midori touched on the status of the next Persona game, claiming that Persona 6 will come to Xbox platforms and Nintendo Switch 2 at launch.

Persona 6 Development and Green Theme

According to Midori on Twitter, Persona 6 will feature a green theme / motif. This theme was initially teased in Persona 25th anniversary artwork featuring the series protagonists, as a green paint bucket may be seen in the corner. Moreover, Midori elaborates that Persona 6 development began in 2019 as part of the “next stage” for Persona, which involved Persona 3 Reload, Persona 5 Tactica, and Persona 5: The Phantom X.

Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance will be the first of ATLUS’ new releases following Persona 3 Reload, with Episode Aigis -The Answer- following up this September. After the release of Episode Aigis, Metaphor: ReFantazio will land on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam in fall 2024.

Soul Hackers 2 director Eiji Ishida is also working on a new unannounced game at ATLUS. He’s working alongside the game’s director to complete it, likely in a producer or assistant director type role.

Persona 3 Reload is available now on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam. As part of the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Perks Program, the Persona 3 Reload: Expansion Pass will be free for Game Pass Ultimate members. Lastly, read up on Final Weapon’s reviews of the Persona series:
