The plan after The Rising Tide's launch.

Square Enix confirm that the Final Fantasy XVI and Final Fantasy XIV collaboration event is still planned for early April 2024. In addition, Final Fantasy XVI will be collaborating with Final Fantasy Brave Exvius in summer 2024.

During PAX East 2024, Square Enix revealed the new Final Fantasy XVI The Rising Tide DLC will release on April 18. The new DLC features a new main questline, new Leviathan Eikon abilities, an increased level cap, and new weapons, such as the Curtana from Final Fantasy XIV.

Final Fantasy XVI x Final Fantasy XIV and Brave Exvius!

As originally announced in January, the Final Fantasy XVI collaboration will begin in early April 2024 for Final Fantasy XIV. Players will be able to help Clive Rosfield in a new crossover storyline called “The Path Infernal.” Further details about the collaboration were not revealed, however.

In summer 2024, a Final Fantasy XVI collaboration event will be held in Final Fantasy Brave Exvius. A Clive Rosfield unit will be available in the game for a limited time, and it appears that a battle or summon featuring Ifrit will be available as well. It’s worth noting that the collaboration is only confirmed for the Japanese version of Final Fantasy Brave Exvius, however (Thanks, Gematsu).

Final Fantasy XVI was launched on June 22, 2023 for PlayStation 5, and a PC version will be released in 2024. For those still on the fence about buying the game, a free Final Fantasy XVI demo is available to play now.
