The new Spice and Wolf: merchant meets the wise wolf anime will premiere on April 1 at 25:30 JST, or April 2 at 1:30 a.m. JST, on TV Tokyo, TV Osaka, and TV Aichi. The anime will also air on BS TV Tokyo and AT-X after the initial premiere. The Spice and Wolf: merchant meets the wise wolf anime is animated and produced at studio Passione and ENISHIYA. Takeo Takahashi returns as the chief director of the series alongside director Hijiri Sanpei. Kevin Penkin will compose the music for the Spice and Wolf: merchant meets the wise wolf anime.
The original light novel series is written by Isuna Hasekura and illustrated by Jū Ayakura, and 24 volumes have been released to date. ASCII Media Works publishes the series under its Dengeki Bunko imprint. Additionally, Yen Press distributes the series in English.
