    New Spice and Wolf Anime Confirms April Premiere Date

    The official website for the new Spice and Wolf: merchant meets the wise wolf anime confirms it will premiere on April 1, making it a very special April Fool’s Day. A new key visual depicting series heroine Holo was revealed to celebrate the announcement.

    As a new adaptation of the original light novel series, the Spice and Wolf: merchant meets the wise wolf anime is being animated and produced at studio Passione and ENISHIYA. Takeo Takahashi returns as the chief director of the series alongside director Hijiri Sanpei. Kevin Penkin will compose the music for the anime premiering on Sunday, April 1 (JST).

    New Spice and Wolf Anime Schedule and Start Time

    The new Spice and Wolf: merchant meets the wise wolf anime will premiere on April 1 at 25:30 JST, or April 2 at 1:30 a.m. JST, on TV Tokyo, TV Osaka, and TV Aichi. The anime will also air on BS TV Tokyo and AT-X after the initial premiere. 

    Alongside the premiere date announcement, a new “cherry blossom” key visual was revealed, depciting Holo in a lovely white dress. As a reminder, Jun Fukuyama and Ami Koshimizu will reprise their roles as Kraft Lawrence and Holo.

    The original light novel series is written by Isuna Hasekura and illustrated by Jū Ayakura, and 24 volumes have been released to date. ASCII Media Works publishes the series under its Dengeki Bunko imprint. Yen Press distributes the series in English.
