Dragon Ball Super Manga Going on Break After Chapter 103

The Dragon Balls are going away.......for now

The Dragon Ball Super manga will be on break after the next chapter. It’s not clear if the break is just for one month or if it will be longer.

Dragon Ball Super chapter 102 was released last month, and readers look forward to reading chapter 103 this month. However, it appears Dragon Ball Super fans might have to wait a while before chapter 104 comes out.

The Dragon Ball Super Manga Is Taking a Break

A new V Jump scan from DBS Hype reveals that the Dragon Ball Super manga will be on hiatus for an unknown amount of time. The V Jump magazine provided no reasons for the break, leaving readers wondering about the manga’s future. However, it’s worth noting that Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama passed away earlier this month. Toyotarou, the illustrator and writer for Dragon Ball Super, was very close with Toriyama, so he will likely take some time to mourn and prepare for a triumphant return.

While the manga will be taking a break, Dragon Ball fans still have much to look forward to regarding the franchise. Dragon Ball Daima is a new anime series that will premiere in fall 2024. This upcoming anime series will celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Dragon Ball franchise.

In Dragon Ball Daima, Goku, Vegeta, Bulma, and the other Dragon Ball Super characters are turned into children, and young characters such as Goten and Trunks are back to being babies. It appears that a wish from Shenron caused the change to happen, and it will be up to Goku and the crew to battle against new threats that appear. Akira Toriyama had a major involvement in this project, so check out the latest trailer below:

Additionally, Dragon Ball producer Akio Iyoku commits to 10 years of new games, anime, movies, and more for the franchise. A new trailer for Daima and any of these unknown Dragon Ball projects can appear at any moment, so stay tuned!
