Dragon Quest Builders is a fantastic fusion of crafting games and traditional JRPGs. There is a ton of content to tackle in this 40+ hour game, including many trials and tribulations that the player must face. What are Chapter Challenges?
First off, you can’t really view these challenges until after you beat a chapter. Doesn’t stop you from completing them beforehand, though! Many of these challenges involve doing things you would normally do, such as gathering items and improving your base. However, there are some extra things like completing quests given to you and some hidden side content. What these challenges do is that upon completion, they allow you to build more things in Terra Incognita by unlocking new recipes for you. This makes that extra mode much more fulfilling to play with a bevy of new options. Not to mention that completing these challenges is just downright satisfying!
Dragon Quest Builders Chapter 3 Challenges
Use the above map to aid you in accomplishing these objectives and more!
Challenges:

- Collect 200 different types of items.
- Build your base to level 5.
- Defeat all of the boss trolls and gigantes.
- Complete the spectacular spa blueprint.
- Discover the recipe for the lyre of slime immemorial.
Defeat all the Boss Trolls and Gigantes:
-
- Bleak and Burning Badlands – In the desert south of the base.
- Island of Lava – In the prison where Barbella was there is a stone gate. Destroy the stone gate to get behind it.
- Island of Ice – Northwest over the mountains.
- Galenholm Ruins – In the snow fields southeast of the teleportal.
Spectacular Spa Blueprint:

- The blueprint is obtained in the ruins of Galenholm, located in a chest in a cave full of ore veins south of the teleportal.
- You also need a recipe for the fierce fountains (required for the spectacular spa’s construction). The recipe lies in the north part of the Island of Lava. Help the girl who is bathing in the hot water by obscuring the peeping troll’s view with a block. She gives you the recipe as thanks.
- The blueprint is obtained in the ruins of Galenholm, located in a chest in a cave full of ore veins south of the teleportal.
Lyre of Slime Immemorial:

- It is found in the labyrinth located on the Island of Ice, north of the teleportal. Fill the slime-shaped hole with blue blocks to open the entrance to the labyrinth. Blue blocks are your hint to the correct path.
