In a new interview at Gamerwk, Persona series production manager Kazuhisa Wada confirms that ATLUS does not have plans to release a Persona 5 Royal style update or re-release for Persona 3 Reload. Wada assures fans that Persona 3 Reload is a complete experience when it launches on February 2.
As a remake of the original Persona 3, Persona 3 Reload includes additional side episodes, quality-of-life changes, a revamped soundtrack, an improved Tartarus labyrinth, and so much more. Persona 3 Reload is one of the most anticipated games of 2024, without a doubt.
ATLUS: No Plans for Persona 5 Royal Style Update or Revision of Persona 3 Reload
Here’s what Wada had to say about the possibility of a revision or update of Persona 3 Reload similarly to Persona 5 Royal:
Wada: “Currently, we are not considering a revision like with Persona 5 to Persona 5 Royal, which involved significant changes and additions to the original title. So, fans can rest assured knowing that Persona 3 Reload offers a complete experience.
“Through this game, we have made great efforts to ensure that fans worldwide, including Southeast Asia, can access it simultaneously. Therefore, we sincerely hope that fans worldwide can enjoy Persona 3 Reload and have fun.”
The developers of Persona 3 Reload share more insight about the game’s development in the February 8 issue of Famitsu. A limited edition version of the new Famitsu issue is available with a new B5-size illustration card. Both version of the issue feature an incredible new illustration of the Persona 3 Reload protagonist and Aigis by character designer Shigenori Soejima. The protagonist is seen on the front cover, while Aigis is seen on the back cover.
Lastly, Persona 3 Reload will launch on February 2, 2024 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Windows. Pre-orders for Persona 3 Reload are available right now both physically and digitally. Read up on Final Weapon’s reviews of the Persona series:
