Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Reveals Cait Sith Key Art

The seventh party member is here.

Square Enix officially shared new key art and information about Cait Sith in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. This key art is a recreation of the original game’s art featuring Cait Sith jumping for joy at the Gold Saucer.

Cait Sith will be one of the new playable characters in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. Joining him are Red XIII and Yuffie Kisaragi. In the next title of the Remake Project, Cid and Vincent will be playable. For Rebirth, they will act as accompanying members like Red XIII did in Final Fantasy VII Remake.

Cait Sith Ability in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth

Cait Sith’s basic attacks involve him being extremely agile and darting around enemies. When he’s ready to bring some flair to his attacks, he calls on Fat Moogle, which completely changes his attacks.

Cait Sith-exclusive moves can actually hurt enemies or strengthen allies. Like the original game, most of his moves rely on luck in some shape or form. One of his new abilities is “Let’s Ride!” which throws Cait Sith on top of Fat Moogle and enhances his basic attacks. This also completely changes his unique abilities.

One of his unique abilities is Dropkick, which allows Cait Sith to slide and kick enemies while he is riding his Moogle. Once he attacks Fat Moogle enough, he can fill the Moogle Meter, which can buff party members with abilities like “Defense!”

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Launches February 29, 2024

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is the sequel to the critically acclaimed Final Fantasy VII Remake. It is the second entry in the Remake Project, a collection of three games recreating and reimagining the story and world of Final Fantasy VII. The first game was initially announced at E3 2015 at the Sony Interactive Entertainment’s PlayStation show. Final Fantasy VII Remake then launched worldwide exclusively for PlayStation 4 on April 10, 2020. Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade, an expanded and enhanced version of the PS4 title, was announced for PlayStation 5 in the following year.

Then, news of the second title was revealed at the Final Fantasy VII 25th Anniversary Stream in June 2022. News went silent until this Summer when a new trailer showcasing the world and gameplay was released at Summer Game Fest. A tremendous amount of information has been confirmed, including confirmation of non-playable Vincent & Cid, a “new episode with Zack,” the file size of the game, and more

Leading up to launch, Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete will return to theaters in both Japan and the USA. A special short film will premiere alongside the movie, featuring new interviews with key FFVII creators. It is likely Kitase, Hamaguchi, and Nomura all appear in this film.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is set to launch exclusively for PlayStation 5 on February 29, 2024. The title will be exclusive to the platform until May 29, 2024. A Standard Edition, Deluxe Edition, and Collector’s Edition are available to pre-order now.
