Tonight at Final Fantasy XIV Fan Festival 2024 Toyko, Square Enix and its Creative Business Unit III officially released the full version of the Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail trailer. The trailer is now available to watch on YouTube in up to 1440p.

This new trailer was accompanied by dozens of new pieces of information, including a new key artwork release for Dawntrail.  The highly anticipated expansion looks to be loads of fun for new and returning players. Check out the new full version of the trailer below:

Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail is the 6th major expansion for Final Fantasy XIV. It was originally revealed at Final Fantasy XIV Fan Festival 2023 Las Vegas, where Naoki Yoshida, Director of FFXIV, revealed the expansion with an exciting trailer. In October, Final Fantasy XIV Fan Festival 2023 London was held, where it was confirmed that Final Fantasy XVI would crossover with XIV in an upcoming collaboration. That collab is set to release in early April.

As for Dawntrail, the expansion is still set to release in Summer 2024. The team didn’t want to announce the release date yet, as they don’t want to delay the expansion once a date is confirmed. Final Fantasy XIV Fan Festival 2024 Toyko was held on Saturday, January 6, where loads of new information was revealed. A new job, called Pictomancer, was revealed, which allows you to cast spells in fashion with a paintbrush and color palette. Additionally, two new areas were revealed: Solution Nine and Heritage Found. These areas feature incredible technology and should be a joy to explore with these expansions.

Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail is set to launch in Summer 2024. The expansion will be available across PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. We’ll be sure to keep you updated as more information is released.
