HoYoverse announced Honkai: Star Rail Version 1.6 is now available to pre-download ahead of the update’s launch on December 27! The pre-download function is only available in the PC and mobile versions of Honkai: Star Rail.
Honkai: Star Rail Version 1.6 brings a slew of new content and playable characters, such as Ruan Mei and Xueyi. Fans can expect several in-game events to be held in January 2024 leading up to the launch of the next update, Version 1.7. To prepare for Version 1.6’s launch, Honkai: Star Rail players may now pre-download the update to save some time.
How to Pre-Download Honkai: Star Rail Version 1.6
Honkai: Star Rail players may pre-download Version 1.6 directly from the launcher on PC. The Game Pre-Installation button may be found next to the Start Game button after opening the launcher. After verifying that enough storage space is available, clicking Get Now will start the download process. Honkai: Star Rail Version 1.6 appears to take up roughly 11 GB on PC, 8 GB on iOS, and 9 GB on Android.
In the mobile version of Honkai: Star Rail, players must launch the title and press the “Resource Pre-Download” button in the bottom-right corner of the login screen to begin the download process. Unlike the PC version, mobile players will be unable to play the game until the download process is complete. According to HoYoLab, Mobile players will still need to download the latest client to experience the new update’s content as well.
Once the update is installed, Honkai: Star Rail players may enjoy the new content that HoYoverse added. The future looks bright for Honkai: Star Rail, with potential collaborations between Falcom and ATLUS on the horizon. Falcom president Toshihiro Kondo is “ready” to collaborate with HoYoverse, so Trails characters may end up in the game someday.
