HoYoverse revealed more details about upcoming Honkai: Star Rail Version 1.6 playable characters Ruan Mei and Xueyi! Ruan Mei is a limited-time 5-star character, while Xueyi is joining the roster as a 4-star character.
Honkai: Star Rail Version 1.6 releases soon on December 27 as 2023’s final update for the popular space fantasy turn-based RPG. In Version 1.6, players are called back to Herta Space Station to deal with an anomaly that Ruan Mei encountered. Lucky players will be able to recruit her from a new Event Warp as well.
Ruan Mei and Xueyi in Honkai: Star Rail Version 1.6
Firstly, Ruan Mei is a 5-star Ice-type character following the Path of Harmony, and she’s the 81th member of the Genius Society. She’s a support character that’s capable of greatly increasing the Break Effect for allies, and her Traces further increase this effect alongside overall energy regeneration. Her basic attack deals Ice damage, and her Somatotypical Helix Talent boosts SPD for her allies while dealing additional damage after a Break.
Ruan Mei’s Skill, Strings Sing in Slow Twirls, can increase damage and Weakness Break’s efficiency of all allies. The character’s Silken Serenade Technique allows her to automatically perform her Skill at the start of the next battle. In the Simulated Universe, Silken Serenade allows allies to strike enemy weaknesses and reduce their toughness. This effect is more potent with every Blessing in the player’s possession.
Xueyi is 4-star Quantum-type character following the Path of Destruction. According to HoYoverse, Xueyi’s original body was replaced a permanent puppet system constructed by Xianzhou Luofu’s Ten-Lords Commission. With every culprit that Xueyi apprehends, she is rewarded with “a half day’s wakespan.” Xueyi is a very capable fighter just like her sister Hanya. Xueyi’s Ultimate, Divine Castigation, deals Quantum DMG to a single target and Toughness depletion, which ignores Weakness Types.
Players may also look forward to Dr. Ratio, a free 5-star Imaginary-type character following the Path of the Hunt. As an academic researcher for the Intelligentsia Guild, Dr. Ratio pays close attention to enemy debuffs in battle. He has a great chance of launching a follow-up attack against enemies with more debuffs.
