The official website for Season 2 of Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy has released a new promo video for the series. The promo reveals the anime‘s theme, cast, and premiere date of January 8.
Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy, or Journey in an Alternate World Guided by the Moon, is a novel series that started in 2012. A light novel adaptation released in 2013, with a anime adaptation premiering in 2015. The novel series, written by Kei Azumi, is still ongoing to this day. Additionally, the anime is available in its entirety on Crunchyroll.

The official website of the Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy anime has revealed a new promo video for the series’ second season. Season 2 will premiere on January 28 and feature new cast members such as Yukiyo Fujii as Rona and Taiten Kusunoki as Io. Keina Suda will perform the OP, titled “Utopia.” Cast member Kent Itō will perform the ED, “My Factor.”

Makoto Misumi was just an average teenager who suddenly was summoned to another world as a “hero.” But the goddess of this world called him ugly and took his hero status away from him, then sent him to the ends of the world. He meets dragons, spiders, orcs, dwarves, and many other non-human races in the wastelands.
Makoto manages to show promise in the use of magic and fighting, which he wouldn’t have been able to do in his former world. He has numerous encounters, but will he be able to survive this new world? A fantasy where a guy who gods and humanity had abandoned tries to reset his life in this new world is about to begin!
