Dragon’s Dogma 2 Title Update 4 Patch Notes Revealed Ahead of Dark Arisen Launch

Capcom has revealed patch notes for Dragon’s Dogma 2 Title Update 4 ahead of the launch of Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen. Title Update 4 brings support for the Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen expansion along with the introduction of new adjustments and features, including a Hard Mode.

PlayStation 5 Pro / PlayStation 5 / XBOX Series X|S / Steam

Added Features and Adjustments
  • Added features to support the Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen Expansion DLC.
  • Added Hard Mode.
  • Added a feature that allows players to carry over current saved data and start the game over from the beginning.
  • Pawn Adjustments
    • Added Orienteer specialization.
  • Other Adjustments
    • Increased the amount of rift crystals received when interacting with a forgotten riftstone from 30 to 90.
      • Note: For forgotten riftstones that you have already interacted with, you’ll receive the difference in rift crystals when you start the game after the update.
    • Added thermal properties to some armor.
Bug Fixes
  • Pawns
    • Fixed a bug where the pawn’s priority for using skills granting elemental enchantments would sometimes decrease.
    • Fixed a bug where pawns would sometimes fight barehanded even though they had a weapon equipped.
    • Fixed a bug where pawns would sometimes not climb or descend ladders.
    • Fixed a bug where the main pawn would sometimes say the support pawn’s line when using the “High five!” command.
    • Fixed a bug where items given as a gift when dismissing a support pawn would sometimes not be removed from the inventory.
  • UI
    • Fixed a bug where changing the button mapping for Weapon Skills 5 and 6 would sometimes cause the item names to disappear from the control guide in the main menu.
    • Fixed a bug in Button Mapping where buttons assigned to vocation actions could also be assigned to weapon skills that were assigned to two buttons.
    • Fixed a bug in Button Mapping where buttons assigned to switch weapon skills could also be assigned to weapon skills that were assigned to two buttons.
  • Quests
    • Fixed a bug in the quest The Phantom Oxcart where pawns could sometimes push the player out of the oxcart when waiting at the front of the cart.
    • Fixed a bug in the quest ‘Ware the Corrupted Beasts where progressing the quest between the in-game time of 3:00 a.m. and dawn would result in the quest becoming uncompletable.
  • Other
    • Fixed a bug where some parts of Sovran’s Greaves were replaced with incorrect parts.
    • Fixed a bug where the detection of the latest saved data was changed after using an Unmaking Arrow.

PlayStation 5 Pro

  • Added Features and Adjustments
    • Added official support for Enhanced PSSR (PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution).

Steam

  • Added Features and Adjustments
    • Graphics Options Additions and Adjustments
      • Added FSR 3 Frame Generation to the Graphics section of the Options menu.
      • Changed DLSS SUPER RESOLUTION version to 4.5.
      • Changed DLSS FRAME GENERATION to support multi-frame generation.
      • Changed DLSS FRAME GENERATION to be usable even when DLSS SUPER RESOLUTION is off.
    • Other Adjustments
      • Changed to enable DualSense Wireless Controller adaptive triggers/controller vibration/motion sensor functionality.

Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen releases on October 9 for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam for $49.99. The Dark Arisen Expansion will also be available separately as DLC for the base game for $29.99. The Norgan Fashion Set – Northern Attire will be available as a pre-order bonus, which can be accessed via in-game storage at launch. Players who pre-order Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam will also get immediate access to Dragon’s Dogma 2 prior to the release of the expansion.
