Bandai Namco have announced Tales of Arise Beyond the Dawn, a major expansion to September 2021’s Tales of entry. The new DLC takes place directly after the events of Tales of Arise, so spoilers are ahead.
In December 2022, Tales of Arise Beyond the Dawn was trademarked by Bandai Namco, fueling speculation about potential DLC over a year after the game’s release. That speculation has been answered with the official reveal of Beyond the Dawn at the September 14 State of Play livestream.
Tales of Arise Beyond the Dawn Revealed
Beyond the Dawn is the first ever DLC that takes place after the events of a Tales of story. In Tales of Arise Beyond the Dawn, players experience a new story after the worlds have joined together. Alphen and his friends encounter a strange girl of both Dahnan and Renan blood named Nazamil. She is the daughter of a Lord that stood in the player’s way during the main story of Tales of Arise. Players will learn more about her and that particular parent in the expansion.
According to producer Yusuke Tomizawa, the main story of Tales of Arise Beyond the Dawn is roughly 20 hours long. Money & skill point bonuses will be given based on clear data from the main game. In addition, players may equip new costumes, take on new quests, and explore new dungeons. Tomizawa also notes that a special bundle will be sold featuring Tales of Arise and the new DLC.
Beyond the Dawn is scheduled for a November 9 launch across PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Pricing for the new DLC has not been revealed just yet.
