During the September 14 State of Play, HoYoverse announced Honkai: Star Rail will finally make its PS5 debut on October 11. Fans will be able to try out the new PS5 version at Tokyo Game Show 2023.
A Honkai: Star Rail closed beta was held from August 23 to 28 on PS5, allowing players to try out the console version for the first time. Progress from the closed beta carries over to the Android, iOS, and PC versions. Fans may also earn additional rewards by successfully pre-registering before launch.
Honkai: Star Rail PS5 Pre-Registration Is Live
The latest footage from State of Play recaps the some of the events of Honkai: Star Rail Version 1.3. Near the end of the trailer, HoYoverse confirms the release date is October 11, so PlayStation players only need to wait one more month. Previously, the PS5 version was slated for Q4 2023 release.
Pre-registration for the PS5 version is live at HoYoverse’s official website. Thus far, over 800,000 players have already pre-registered for the PS5 version following the recent technical test. Those who pre-register and log into the game on launch day will receive the 4-star Cavern Relic Musketeer of Wild Wheat 4-piece set. Moreover, meeting the following pre-registration goals will grant players even more rewards:
- 100,000 pre-registrations: Credit ×10,000
- 300,000 pre-registrations: Adventure Log ×5
- 600,000 pre-registrations: Condensed Aether ×5
- 1,000,000 pre-registrations: 4-star Light Cone “The Seriousness of Breakfast (Erudition)” ×1
Honkai: Star Rail, Zenless Zone Zero, Genshin Impact, Honkai Impact 3rd, and Tears of Themis will be featured at TGS 2023. A special HoYoverse TGS 2023 Special Program livestream will cover all five games and new information on September 22 at 19:00 JST. Attendees may visit the HoYoverse booth in the Makuhari Messe to play Zenless Zone Zero and the new PS5 version of Honkai: Star Rail. Additionally, various activities, giveaways, and competitions will be held featuring all five of HoYoverse’s titles.
