WayForward announced a brand-new update for River City Girls 2 is now available featuring a 4-player online mode. A new River City Girls bundle is also available now on all platforms.
This past June, WayForward released the long-awaited performance patch for River City Girls 2 across all platforms. Although the update did not include 60 FPS for the Nintendo Switch version, several stability and performance improvements were still made across the board.
River City Girls 2 Latest Update
According to WayForward, the new River City Girls 2 update brings the 4-player online functionality to the existing co-op mode on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Players now have access to this mode alongside the existing 4-player local co-op mode and the crossplay-enabled online 2-player mode available on all platforms, including Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Moreover, a new River City Girls bundle featuring the original game, River City Girls 2, and River City Girls Zero is now available on all platforms for $74.99. Godai, voiced by Jacksepticeye, introduces the River City Girls franchise in a brand-new “Welcome to River City” trailer.

Over 100 changes and adjustments were made to River City Girls 2 in the previous performance patch according to WayForward. The Nintendo Switch version received substantial improvements, and the update added the ability to replay the game on New Game+ for a second time.
Additionally, fans may look forward to River City Showdown, which launches on October 12 for PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. The game includes the new Riki’s Story mode. This particular mode is described as a unique scenario for the single-player mode of River City: Rival Showdown. To access the mode, players must complete the “Yamada’s Side” mode in-game or have existing save data from River City Saga: Three Kingdoms.
Lastly, River City Girls 2 is available now for Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
