Aquaplus developer Kuro Shirayuki announced Tsubame no Sedai, a new visual novel developed at studio Pecolien. The staff involved with the new project recently worked on the Da Capo visual novel series at CIRCUS.
Aquaplus is widely known for its successful RPGs and visual novels, including the long-running Utawarerumono series. The studio’s most recent releases were the English versions of Dungeon Travelers 2: The Royal Library & the Monster Seal and Dungeon Travelers 2-2: The Fallen Maidens & the Book of Beginnings on PC via publisher Shiravune. Now, one of the studio’s prominent staff members is leading development of Tsubame no Sedai.
Tsubame no Sedai by Kuro Shirayuki and Pecolien
Kuro Shirayuki serves as the director and scenario writer of Tsubame no Sedai. Da Capo series illustrator Yuu Kisaragi serves as Tsubame no Sedai’s main artist. Moreover, Waisshu is the background artist for the upcoming title. Production is currently underway at Pecolien. Composers, logo artists, and voice actors have not been revealed yet.

Visual novel fans may also look forward to Shinjuku Soumei, a new title by G-MODE and Plus81. In Shinjuku Soumei, the protagonist is an undertaker who uses his powers of immortality and the ability to hear the voices of the dead. As an undertaker, the protagonist must perform dangerous funerals in the city of Shinjuku. He meets an astral girl in the city who lends him support. The main development staff includes illustrator Kohaku Sumeragi and Christmas Tina writer Tomo Kataoka.
Finally, Tsubame no Sedai is currently in development with no confirmed release date or platforms.
