    Visual Novel Everlasting Flowers Announced for PS4 and Switch

    A new 'flimic' visual novel by the Aokana developers.

    Aokana: Four Rhythms Across the Blue developer Sprite have announced Everlasting Flowers, a brand-new visual novel coming to Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4. The new title will release in 2024 with English, Japanese, and Simplified Chinese language options.

    The latest release from Sprite was Aokana: Four Rhythms Across the Blue EXTRA1 and EXTRA2 for Nintendo Switch. Sprite’s recent works are regarded as “filmic novels,” which combine high-quality CGS, illustrations, and music to provide a cinematic experience. The studio’s next work, Everlasting Flowers, will also be a filmic novel.

    Sprite’s Next Work: Everlasting Flowers

    Sprite launched the official website for Everlasting Flowers today, August 11, with new details regarding the game’s release window, staff, and voice cast. Once more, Everlasting Flowers will release in 2024, and visual novel developer Frontwing is handling the English and Simplified Chinese translations. RIGHTWAY is publishing the new title in Japan. 

    Suzumori is serving as art director for the new visual novel alongside script writer Yohira, fellow art director Jun Azami, and sound director Takahoshi Hamano. Elements Garden is handling music alongside sound production company Magic Capsule, and BALCOLONY designed the game’s logos. Thus far, the voice cast of Everlasting Flowers includes Reina Ueda, Lynn, Chiwa Saito, Miyu Tomita, and Tomoko Miyadera. 

    The visual novel’s opening theme song is “Convallaria” by vocalist Nariko Anzuki, lyrics by Ceui, and arrangement by Ryutaro Fujinaga from Elements Garden. Yuki Kishida and Koichiro Muroya also performed piano and violin for the new theme song as well. Moreover, the ending theme is “Unpublished” by Ceui and composer Daisuke Kikuta from Elements Garden.

    In Sprite’s new blog post, the artists hope fans look forward to the OP movie this fall. Additionally, several images from the recording process were also shared in the new blog post. Details about the visual novel’s story will likely be revealed as well.
