Fate/Samurai Remnant producer Tomohiko Sho and director Ryōta Matsushita confirm the game’s main story is over 50 hours long. Completionists may have over 100 hours spent in the game when its all said and done, however.
Fate/Samurai Remnant players will explore a new a new Fate story set in the 4th year of the Keian Era, Edo Period in Japan. Protagonist Miyamoto Iori is pulled into a dangerous Holy Grail War, but the Waxing Moon Ritual allows him to forge bonds with several servants. These Servants will be featured in the new title, including Jeanne Alter, Miyamoto Musashi, Cú Chulainn, Tamamo Aria, and much more. Iori is also supported by a trusty new Saber.
Fate/Samurai Remnant Main Story and Post-Game
In a new Dengeki Online interview, Sho and Matsushita state that the Fate/Samurai Remnant main story may take over 50 hours to complete. However, the game may last 100 hours for full completion, including side quests and episodes featuring other Servants. Although the game only has one story mode, players may enjoy this side content alongside various mini-games.
Sho confirms that post-game content will be available after clearing the main story. Additionally, Sho is interested in a collaboration between Fate/Samurai Remnant and Fate/Grand Order, but no plans are set in stone. The producer is interested in collaborations with other Fate works as well.
Fate fans may purchase the Famitsu August 17-24 combined issue featuring the latest information about Fate/Grand Order and Fate/Samurai Remnant from FGO Fes 2023. On the cover, Morgan and Altria Caster may be seen in swimsuits in a new illustration by Type-Moon artist Takashi Takeuchi. The latest issue also includes an extensive interview with Takeuchi and Type-Moon co-founder Kinoko Nasu.
Lastly, Fate/Samurai Remnant launches September 29 worldwide for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam. Physical and digital pre-orders for Fate/Samurai Remnant are available now.
