Nearly five years after its first season, the Sword Art Online Alternative Gun Gale Online anime will return with Season 2. The new Sword Art Online anime was announced by Kadokawa during the Dengeki Bunko 30th anniversary event this weekend.
Sword Art Online Alternative Gun Gale Online Season 2 is green-lit for production at Studio 3Hz. Moreover, the anime’s official website has been updated with new information. A new key visual was revealed for Sword Art Online Alternative Gun Gale Online Season 2 alongside the staff producing the TV anime.
Tomori Kusunoki returns as Llenn, the main lead of Sword Art Online Alternative Gun Gale Online. Masayuki Sakoi serves as director for the second season with Yōsuke Kuroda handling series composition. Yoshio Kosakai will serve as the character designer and chief animation director. The new anime will air weekly on Japanese broadcasting networks, and a premiere date has not been announced yet. A new teaser trailer has been released, however.
