Square Enix Considering More Remasters Following Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster Success

Various ideas being thought over at the company.

In the company’s 43rd annual shareholders meeting, Square Enix revealed that it’s considering more remasters following the success of Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster on consoles this year. A shareholder received an official response on this matter following an inquiry about Xenogears

When asked about remasters of past Square Enix titles, the company said various ideas are being considered within the company. Square Enix can’t share specific information about the new titles, but the company hopes the shareholder and fans look forward to future announcements. Although the statement did not confirm a remaster of Xenogears or any other specific titles, it’s safe to assume that Square Enix will release more remasters in the future. One of these remasters/remakes includes Star Ocean: The Second Story R, a new 3D remake of Star Ocean: The Second Story with HD-2D elements.
