Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis Closed Beta Players Will Be Picked By Lottery

High demand for the upcoming mobile remake.

The Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis closed beta test recruitment has ended, and Square Enix shared an update for eager players. Due to high demand, Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis players will soon be chosen by lottery.

Recruitment for the Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis closed beta test was held from June 8 to June 28, giving fans nearly three weeks to apply. Square Enix thanked fans after recruitment ended, and a new update reveals that players will now be chosen due to a large number of total applications. This total likely exceeded Square Enix’s allotment for the closed beta test, so players will now be chosen by lottery. Results for this lottery will be revealed on July 5, but the date is subject to change.

“Thank you for applying to the CBT for FF7EC”, said Square Enix on the game’s official Twitter account. “The application period has now ended. Due to a large number of applications, participants will be selected through a lottery. The results will be announced by Jul. 5 2023 PST (Tentative)”

The Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis closed beta test will be held from July 6 to July 13, allowing players to test out the game on Android devices for about a week. In the west, only players within the United States and Canada may participate. According to Square Enix, the closed beta test allows the development team to gain crucial feedback and improve the overall experience before launch. Game data and progress will not transfer to the full release, and some features may differ when the game launches.

Final Fantasy VII fans may pre-register by heading to the game’s official website. Rewards will be given to players on launch day depending on the total number of pre-registrations. Thus far, over 400,000 users have pre-registered for Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis. On launch day, players will receive 500 Blue Crystals, which is Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis’ in-game currency.

Lastly, Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis is coming soon to Android and iOS worldwide.
