During Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference 23 (WWDC), prolific game creator Hideo Kojima revealed Death Stranding: Director’s Cut is coming to Mac platforms. The Mac version of Death Stranding: Director’s Cut launches later this year, and fans of Kojima’s work can expect more in the future.
Hideo Kojima was on stage at WWDC 23 to announce Kojima Productions’ Death Stranding: Director’s Cut is coming to Mac platforms. Mac users will be able to enjoy all of the newly added content and features in the Death Stranding: Director’s Cut. Additionally, Kojima confirms that multiple new projects are in the works for Apple platforms. Kojima did not share specific details about these new games, but the legendary creator hopes fans look forward to what Kojima Productions has in store.

Currently, Kojima Productions is developing a new cloud-based title with Microsoft and Death Stranding 2, the highly-anticipated sequel to 2019’s Death Stranding. The new cloud-based title will use “cutting-edge technology, whereas Death Stranding 2 utilizes the existing Decima engine. Both of these titles will be console exclusives for Xbox and PlayStation respectively, but a PC release is very likely. Speculation points toward a potential new trailer for Death Stranding 2 at Summer Game Fest 2023 Live Showcase, but nothing has been directly confirmed.
Geoff Keighley will host the Summer Game Fest 2023 Live Showcase on June 8 at 3 p.m. EDT from the YouTube Theater in Inglewood, California. The upcoming showcase will feature new game announcements, gameplay footage, trailers, and updates on existing games. Over 40 partners are participating in Summer Game Fest 2023 including Bandai Namco, Capcom, Disney, HoYoverse, PlayStation, and Square Enix.
Lastly, Death Stranding 2 is in development for PlayStation 5 with no confirmed release date. A brand-new Death Stranding film is also in the works.
