Kojima Productions Announces Death Stranding 2

At 2022’s The Game Awards, Kojima Productions officially unveiled Death Stranding 2 to the world. This is Hideo Kojima’s next title, which will once again utilize the Decima Engine. You can check out the trailer below.

Fragile is seen running from enemies carrying a child in the trailer until she ends up getting shot and presumedly dying. The trailer then cuts to none other than Sam Porter Bridges walking out from a shelter, looking at a giant machine rising alongside Fragile. The ending shows someone who appears to be the villain of this title, holding a guitar.

Death Stranding 2 is the sequel to 2019’s Death Stranding, which was released exclusively for the PlayStation 4. In July 2020, the game was released on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. A year later, Death Stranding Director’s Cut was unveiled, offering a small new story section alongside new weapons, tools, and minigames.

Death Stranding follows Sam Porter Bridges on a quest to reconnect a fractured America. It stars Norman Reedus, Mads Mikkelson, Troy Baker, Lindsay Wagner, Léa Seydoux, and Tommie Earl Jenkins. It was praised for its innovation and uniqueness.

Death Stranding 2 will launch exclusively for PlayStation 5.
