Resident Evil Survey Asks Fans About The Next Remake They Want

Capcom gauges feedback from the community.

In a new Resident Evil survey released by Capcom, the company asks fans about the next remake they would want from the series. The survey is also meant to gauge fan interest and expectations leading into Capcom’s next project for the long-running series.

The official Resident Evil Brand/Services public survey is now live, and Resident Evil Ambassadors may earn 10 Ambassador Points for completing it. Capcom wants input from fans about the Resident Evil series and expectations going forward. After answering general questions about games, movies, and the Resident Evil franchise, the survey asks players about what they want next from Resident Evil

One of the questions in the survey directly wants the user to “let us [Capcom] know if there are any other Resident Evil games you want remade.” Unlike many of the prior questions, a written response is required. For example, the user may type in a remake for Resident Evil – Code: Veronica or Resident Evil Survivor and proceed to the next question. Resident Evil – Code: Veronica appears to be the most popular choice as expected.

Resident Evil 4 remake was a crucial title for Capcom’s fiscal year ending on March 31 this year despite its small window of sales. Capcom was able to achieve record-high sales in the past fiscal year due to Resident Evil 4 and Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak. After releasing on March 24, Resident Evil 4 remake shipped 3.75 million units in just seven days. Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak also contributed greatly during the fiscal year with 5.45 million copies sold as of March 31. Capcom claims the use of cutting-edge graphics and ongoing measures with free content updates helped these titles thrive.

Lastly, Resident Evil 4 is available now for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
