The June 8 issue of Weekly Famitsu reveals action RPG Ys X: Nordics launches on September 28 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 in Japan. Standard and limited editions of Ys X: Nordics will be sold.
Ys X: Nordics standard edition will be sold for 8,580 yen, and the limited edition will be sold for 12,100 yen. Limited edition contents have not been revealed, however. Additionally, a western release has not been announced by Nihon Falcom or its publishing partner, NIS America.
As previously discussed, the new title takes place after the events of Ys II and before Ys: Memories of Celceta. 17-year old Adol and his trusty companion Dogi head into Karnak and Odelia Bay for a new adventure on their way to Celceta. Adol then meets Carja, the only daughter of the leader of the Balta Navy. Carja is the heroine of Ys X: Nordics despite her ruthlessness in combat, and she’s the same age as Adol. Both characters are playable in the upcoming title.
In the west, Falcom fans may look forward to the July 7 release of The Legend of Heroes: Trails into Reverie for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam. Rean Schwarzer, Lloyd Bannings, and the mysterious C serve as protagonists with their own intertwined story routes. Moreover, The Legend of Heroes: Trails into Reverie includes several pieces of side content including mini-games.
Lastly, Ys X: Nordics launches on September 28 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 in Japan.
