Bandai Namco and Arc System Works announced the new balance adjustment patch for Dragon Ball FighterZ launches on Tuesday, May 23. The developers also shared an update on the upcoming rollback netcode beta test, confirming a delay.
Dragon Ball FighterZ Balance Patch
The May 23 Dragon Ball FighterZ patch (version 1.32) includes several balance adjustments based on feedback from the June 2022 update. Bandai Namco and Arc Systen Works hope fans will use this patch as an opportunity to try out characters they normally do not play as. Additionally, the developers confirm that a “second round of balance adjustments” is planned, and more details about the next patch will be revealed at a later date. Unfortunately, the good news about the balance patch comes with a delay for the rollback netcode test, which was originally planned for spring 2023.
Rollback Netcode Beta Test Delayed
The Dragon Ball FighterZ rollback netcode beta test for Steam has been delayed to an unannounced date. Further improvements and rollback netcode stability adjustments were cited as the reasons for the deal. Bandai Namco apologizes for the delay and reiterates that Dragon Ball FighterZ development team is committed to delivering the rollback netcode update and beta test in its best shape.
“In regards to the rollback netcode implementation, we made an announcement earlier this year that a beta test will be carried out on Steam around spring” Bandai Namco said in a recent tweet. “However, to further improve and stabilize the experience of the feature, we have decided to postpone the timing of the test. We apologize for the delay, but the team here is committed to delivering the feature in its best shape, so we hope that players would wait a little longer for further updates regarding timing of the beta test.”
Lastly, Dragon Ball FighterZ is available now for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S worldwide.
