Digitalis Publishing has announced that the soundtrack for Veritas Tales: Witch of the Dark Castle is now available to purchase, as well as stream on services such as Spotify and Apple Music. Hitoshi Sakimoto, who previously composed for 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim and Final Fantasy Tactics, performed the soundtrack.

The soundtrack features all 13 tracks from the game, and costs $12. To commemorate the release, Digitalis Publishing is holding a bundle sale on Steam, where players can get a 10% discount by purchasing the main game and soundtrack together. Those who already own the main game can purchase the soundtrack on its own at a discounted price. Veritas Tales: Witch of the Dark Castle is available now on PC via Steam.

Final Weapon reviewed the game, giving it a 3.5/5. We described it as a game that may not be “an epic like many other contemporary RPGs, it supplies a competent story with a wonderful game feeling. It turns the limitations of pen and paper into a strength of presentation, making it a very charming game to play, if perhaps a little simplistic.” Lastly, the Steam page describes the game as follows:

A neo-classic digital gamebook RPG that reimagines the charm of classic gamebooks for the modern age. Experience the nostalgic feel of scribbling stats with a pencil, rolling dice to decide your fate, and flipping pages by hand. The “authentic fantasy” you crave is right here!

Key Features
    • A Rich Fantasy Woven by Two Protagonists – Set in the plague-ridden capital of Erishing, the narrative centers on the Dark Castle, inhabited by a mysterious witch. Players choose between two protagonists — Havelock the warrior and Paneri the mage — to experience the narrative from two distinct perspectives.
    • Dice Rolls and Choices Shape Your Destiny – Your fate is determined by your decisions and the roll of the dice. Good fortune may save you from a crisis, but a single careless choice can lead to an unexpected death.
    • Over 300 Hand-Drawn Illustrations – Veteran creator Yoshio Nishimura, with over 30 years of experience in the industry, spent more than six years hand-drawing over 300 illustrations to bring this world to life.
