Meta announced the Meta Quest Gaming Showcase will be held on June 1, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. PDT / 1:00 p.m. EDT. The upcoming showcase will reveal several new games coming to the Meta Quest 2 and Meta Quest Pro platforms.
According to Meta, Meta Quest Gaming Showcase 2023 will have “exclusive game reveals and more” for VR gamers. A pre-show will begin at 9:45 a.m. PDT / 12:45 p.m. EDT with roughly 15 minutes of game trailers. Meta encourages fans to stay after the show as the company takes an extended look at the showcase’s games with VR content creators. A expected runtime for the event and its special guests were not revealed, however.
Meta Quest Gaming Showcase 2023 will be streamed live via the official Meta Quest VR Facebook, Twitch, and YouTube channels. A teaser trailer for the event was uploaded to the official YouTube channel, encouraging fans to save the date. The end of the trailer seemingly teases a sequel to Asgard’s Wrath for Meta Quest 2.

It’s worth noting that support for the original Meta Quest will end in 2024. Bug fixes and security updates will cease in 2024, and features like Meta Horizon and parties are no longer available on a Meta Quest device. In order to continue using such features, players must have a Meta Quest 2 device or newer.
