    Bayonetta Origins – Wisp Locations Guide

    There are tons of little Wisps lost in the forest. Use our Bayonetta Origins Wisp Locations Guide to help you locate them!

    There are 40 wisps. You get various rewards from them after helping a certain number. Return to the Forgotten Knoll to collect your prizes periodically!

    Be sure to check your map. Completing Tir na nogs will show you new icons, as they obscure sections of your map. Using this guide along with the tools the game gives you will lead you down a road to success!

    These can be gotten after acquiring Water Cheshire and coming back for story reasons in Chapter 8.

    • Mossy – After unlocking the Sanctuary continue up and take a path left. Follow the path down and it leads you right to a Wisp. 

    Sunspeckeld Grove (5)

    • Hardhead –  Start of Chapter 7. After draining the water head left, having Cheshire break the impeding thorns. Wisp is right there. (Lower region west)
    • Pipes – This is just outside of the entrance of Giant’s Basin but you can’t get to the wisp from that side. Head south of the Sanctuary, continue heading down and left. There is a split path on the grassy tree roots just after two biting plants. Take the north path. There should be a plant you can magically absorb after getting Plant Cheshire. Head down this new path and you’ll see a lilypad. Use Water Cheshire to retrieve it and then ferry Cereza north. You’ll see the Wisp up on a platform that you can easily walk up to. Give it 3x Demonic Mists.

    Chalkroot Hollow (3)

    • Bullseye – After getting Water Cheshire follow the story path from Wyvern Falls back to Chalkroot Hollow. Shoot water into a pipe with Water Cheshire near the southern Lower Region Arcane Lantern.
    • Kingsley – Use the ladder near the Sanctuary to go down. Go down until you see the stump with frogs and chest on it. There is an ice block behind the stump that Fire Cheshire can melt. The wisp is behind it.

    Faerieland Tower (6)

    Some of the Wisps here are Story Required.

    • Captain – The Faerie Illusions will lead you straight to a tir na nog. Complete The Jest tir na nog. After completing The Jest tir na nog and dispelling the illusions the camera should pan to show a lever. This Wisp is standing on the deck next to the lever after saving him from the tir na nog. (center of Lower Region)
    • Metalhead – After getting into the tower use Wood Cheshire to launch Cereza over to a platform (left of the tower entrance). Sneak over to the lever that drops down the bridge and then use Cheshire to defeat the Faeries bullying a nearby Wisp. (Northernmost part of Lower Region). Follow him to a gate that he will open then he will be added to your Archive.
    • Big Nails – Head to the left after clearing the Illusion tir na nog (northern circular platform, Upper Region). Faeries will ambush you when approaching him. Defeat them and rescue him.
    • Fun Guy – Continue left after saving Big Nails. Have Cheshire drag the train with Cereza on top to the platform to the left. Defeat the Faerie there and use Wood Cheshire to pull down the wall to the north. Go across the gap and use Wood Cheshire to pull the Wisp down from the balloons. (Upper Region Northwesternmost area.)
    • Needy – After getting Stone Cheshire, return to the entrance area of the Faerieland Tower. There is a see-saw to the left of the bridge you can now launch Cereza with. Use her to turn a valve that makes stairs. Have Cheshire climb up and use the new path to find the Wisp. (Center Lower Region)
    • Bruce – Come back to the Lower Region near the entrance after getting Water Cheshire. Go to the east part of the lower region. Use Plant Cheshire to grab one of the red platforms and have Cereza jump onto it. Use Water Cheshire to swim across the water onto the island with the Wisp on it. Then use Plant Cheshire again to pull Ceraza over. Give it 3x Blast Cocktails.

    The Watchtower (6)

    Some of the Wisps here are Story Required.

    • Nail – Follow the rails to the second circular platform (easternmost spot, Upper Region). Defeat the enemies and save the Wisp.
    • Candy – Northernmost platform in the Upper Region. Complete the Guidance tir na nog.
    • Double-O – Northernmost platform in the Upper Region. Complete the Guidance tir na nog.
    • Boxby – Northernmost platform in the Upper Region. Complete the Guidance tir na nog.
    • Wired – Complete the Plunging Down tir na nog. Go to your immediate right. (center Upper Region). Give him 2x Umbran Syrups.
    • Lil’ Slug – Come back after Crereza gets the ability to restore objects by dancing. Complete the Plunging Down tir na nog. This lets you reach the upper platform of the northern platform in the Upper Region of the area. The Wisp will be just ahead of the Plunging Down tir na nog. Go down the slide to a new Sanctuary and head up the grassy tree branches. Use the restoration dance to fix platforms and go to the wisp. Give the Wisp 99x Avalon Drops.

    Forgotten Knoll (4)

    • Pinpoint – Located down the path from the Wisp Hideout near the Sanctuary. Give him 5 Unicorn Horns. (Upper Region West)
    • Snout – After getting Stone Cheshire, continue along the story path following the wolf tracks. You will come across an enemy group. Defeat them and you’ll see some boulders to the north that Stone Cheshire can now destroy. Put Cereza on the right end of the newly discovered see saw and have Stone Cheshire stand on the left side. Press ‘R’ to launch Cereza up on the platform with a trapped wisp. (Lower Region North)
    • Machina – After completing the Bravery tir na nog (located in western Mid-Region) head down. You’ll see a mushroom that Stone Cheshire can launch you with (westernmost part of Mid-Region). This will take you to the Upper Region. Head down a little bit and you’ll pass through a gate and then see an offshoot. Absorb the stone block and a trapped wisp is right there (northwestern Upper Region).
    • Robin – After getting Stone Cheshire, follow the story path. You’ll wind up back in Jade Hill, grab the nearby Journal, and bounce on the mushroom just down a bit. This launches you back to Forgotten Knoll next to the Wisp. (Upper Region North). He asks for 2x Demonic Mists.

    Windy Knot (1)

    • Flick – Start in the Forgotten Knoll and use the south path near the end of the slide and use Earth Cheshire to launch you up onto a new path using a springy mushroom. Go through two gates, make a right, and go up a ladder. Use Water Cheshire to extinguish a fire. Go up the ladder and follow this new path to the left. Keep going until you’re in the Windy Knot. Go up until you see the wisp. Walk up and talk to him. Give him 15x Baked Geckos. (southern Lower Region)

    Giant’s Basin (1)

    • Cindy – Return to the area after getting Water Cheshire. You can now reach the northern parts of the area. This Wisp is just to the left of the Sanctuary. Give the Wisp 3x Healing Tonics.

    Wyvern Falls (2)

    • Angel – Make a right after heading down the ladder past the Sanctuary. Dance to some flowers next to a cage to make stairs. Get on top of the cage to raise up. The Wisp is dead ahead. Give it 35x Onyx Roses.
    • Plop – After facing the Salamander fire Faerie for the first time (western area) head up a ladder to the left and absorb the stone element. Continue south and you’ll see a small offshoot to the right with a trapped Wisp.

    Ashenbark Woods (2)

    • Scott – Return to the area after you get Cheshire back. If you progress normally through the area by going north from the Sanctuary you will come across iron bars Cheshire can break. The Wisp is down this new path.
    • Patches – Return to the area after getting Fire Cheshire. This Wisp is on the west side of the area on an offshoot platform from the tower with the spinning flames. Absorb the magic fire and it’ll be right there. Give it 3x Healing Tonics.

    Puca’s Fortress (2)

    • Punk – North part of the Lower Region, side path to the left while on the chapter 11 story path. Use Fire Cheshire to melt the ice blocks, defeat the faeries, and save the wisp trapped in ice. 
    • Leatherhead – this Wisp is at the top of the section with the gears at the top of the tower just past the elevator. Give it 40x Avalon Drops.

    Overgrown Shrine (1)

    • Trent – Near the story path. It’s frozen in ice to the right of an arena where you fight some Faeries.
