Check Your Map
Be sure to check your map. Completing Tir na nogs will show you new icons, as they obscure sections of your map. Using this guide along with the tools the game gives you will lead you down a road to success!
Jade Hill (3)
- Biologist’s Journal 1 – across the vine tightrope and to the left after the first story required tir na nog. (can see it on the cliff edge before crossing the tightrope)
- Umbran Apprentice Diary 1 – near the first sanctuary you can find. On top of the yellow plants. Use Cereza to climb on top of them starting on the right side of the sanctuary.
- A Faerie’s Research Log 8 – Complete the Prison of Thorns tir na nog (northeast Jade Hill) to dispel an illusion. Near the east exit of Jade Hill, can be entered from the neighboring Forgotten Knoll area. It is reached after acquiring Stone Cheshire and bouncing on mushrooms. It is on the story path so it’s easy to get.
Leafy Nook (2)
- Ignis’ Journal 7 – After getting Water Cheshire you can absorb the water orb to the immediate left of the Sanctuary.
- Biologist’s Journal 2– Complete the Calamity tir na nog to gain access to this entry. To the right of the sanctuary that is north of the tir na nog.
Lake Nimueh (2)
- The Wisp Weekly 6 – The Journal is straight ahead of a mandatory battle during Chapter 8, just after finding the Sanctuary. Use the nearby lilypad and Water Cheshire to snag it. (West section of the region)
- Bilogist’s Journal 8 – This one is just after the previous one. Keep heading down the water, but after dropping off head down and away from the whirlpool.
Sunspeckled Grove (4)
- Umbran Apprentice Diary 2 – Behind the story tir na nog, Rotation. )southeast end of this area by the Lake Nimueh exit)
- Bilogist’s Journal 3– After defeating the first boss and gaining Cheshire’s Wood Form, go back to where you fought Fomhorach. There is a plant that Cheshire can use now in Wood Form to the left of the “arena” next to the water. This will create a platform across the water to the Journal and a chest.
- Biologist’s Journal 4 – Northeast part of the map. Requires Wood Cheshire. En route of normal story progression, making it hard to miss. Just by a gate Cereza can go under.
- Umbran Apprentice Diary 4 – On the story progression path. It appears after your second encounter with the Jester Faerie. Defeat the enemies and it appears, ready for pickup (after you discover Inferno Fruit).
Chalkroot Hollow (6)
- Ignis’ Journal 2 – Center of the Upper Region. Keep following the path after you meet the Forest Sage for the first time. When you see waterfalls and stump platforms, jump onto the cliff to right. The Journal is on this ledge.
- Biologist’s Journal 5 – Not far from the story progression path. Head East of the Sanctuary. There are some rocks and some Faerie foes to defeat. Defeat them and grab the nearby Journal.
- The Wisp Weekly 5 – After getting Water Cheshire, follow the story path from Wyvern Falls back to Chalkroot Hollow. Near the southern Lower Region Arcane Lantern.
- Biologist’s Journal 7 – After getting Water Cheshire follow the story path from Wyvern Falls back to Chalkroot Hollow. Just north of the southern Lower Region Arcane Lantern.
- Faerie Kingdom History 4 – After completing the Acceleration tir na nog in the Mid-Region, continue right, pass the first elevator, go down the ladder, continue down, and go to the second elevator. Use it to go down. Use water Cheshire to fetch the lily pad and take Cereza to the Journal (Lower region east)
- Umbran Apprentice Diary 3 – After completing the Acceleration tir na nog in the Mid-Region, continue right, go up the first elevator, go up and use the spring mushroom. The Journal is just ahead to the left. (Upper Region)
Faerieland Tower (3)
- Umbran Apprentice Diary 5 – Climb the netting right by the Sanctuary.
- The Wisp Weekly 2 – Accessible after clearing the Illusion tir na nog. To the immediate right of where the tir na nog was (Northeasternmost part of Upper Region).
- Faerie Kingdom History 1 – Complete the Off the Rails tir na nog. Go back to the area where you had to sneak past Faeries (use the contraption that you launched Cereza with using Wood Cheshire). Now that you have Cheshire back you can use him to defeat the Faeries on guard here and proceed left to the Journal Entry.(Westernmost part of Lower Region)
The Watchtower (1)
- Faerie Kingdom History 2– Upper Regions center platform. Just walk past the stairs to the left of the Arcane Lantern (save spot) and you’ll see it on a seesaw.
Forgotten Knoll (4)
- A Faeirie’s Research Log 7 – Immediately in front of you when you first enter the area from the slide coming from The Watchtower. (southwest Upper Region)
- Ignis’ Journal 3– Straight ahead from the Sanctuary under the slide (Upper Region ).
- The Wisp Weekly 3 – After getting Stone Cheshire continue along the story path following the wolf tracks. You’ll come across a group of enemies. Defeat them and the Journal is on the right side of the arena. (Lower Region Northeast)
- Umbran Apprentice Diary 6 – It’s along the story path in a circular spot that reacts to Cereza’s weight. (southern part of Lower Region).
Windy Knot (2)
- Biologist’s Journal 6 – On the Story path. Use the swinging flowers to make your way up. You’ll get a scene showing huge claw marks. Use the nearby mushroom to spring up to where this Journal is.
- The Wisp Weekly 4 – Complete Stomping Grounds tir na nog. On the story path just past the Sanctuary, can’t miss it.
Giant’s Basin (3)
- The Wisp Weekly 8 – Go back to Giant’s Basin after acquiring Water Cheshire. Use his new swimming and aquastream abilities along with absorbing water orbs to progress north and down lower. When you get to the bottom go south and fight some nearby Faeries. The Journal is in this arena.
- Faerie Kingdom History 6 – Return to the area after getting Water Cheshire. You can now reach the northern parts of the area. This Journal is just to the left of the Sanctuary.
- Ignis’s Journal 1 – Return to the area after getting Water Cheshire. You can now reach the northern parts of the area. This Journal is just to the north of the Sanctuary, use the nearby lily pad to get to it.
Wyvern Falls (3)
- A Faerie’s Research Log 6 – Along the story path. On a batch of Rosemary (southern Wyvern Falls)
- Ignis’ Journal 4 – Along the Story path. Can be found after the second encounter with the Jabberwock. North part of the area past an Arcane Lantern.
Ashenbark Woods (3)
- Ignis’ Journal 6 – Along the story path. On top of a tower that shoots flames along it’s a staircase (Ch. 9 southern part of area).
- The Wisp Weekly 7 – Along the Story Path during Chapter 9, can’t miss it. (Middle of the area)
- A Faerie’s Research Log 3 – Along the Story Path during Chapter 9, after a scene with Cheshire.
Puca’s Fortress (6)
- Umbran Apprentice Diary 7 – Along the story path in chapter 9. (Lower Region)
- Umbran Apprentice Diary 8 – Along the story path in chapter 9. (Upper Region)
- A Faerie’s Research Log 4 – Along the story path in chapter 10. (Upper Region)
- The Wisp Weekly 1 – Along the story path in chapter 10 after acquiring the Fire Element. (Upper Region)
- Ignis’ Journal 5 – Close to the story path. After speaking to Morgana and starting chapter 11, melt an ice block impeding the side path on the right using Fire Cheshire. Climb up the edges and use Fire Cheshire to melt the ice containing the Journal.
- A Faerie’s Research Log 5 – Return to the section of the tower where you had to use giant gears as platforms. Now that you have Cheshire you can drop down a ladder. This new path has the Journal down it.
Forbidden Grounds (1)
- A Faerie’s Research Log 2 – Along the story path in Chapter 11.
Overgrown Shrine (2)
- Faerie Kingdom History 3 – Right on the story path, to the left of an arena where you fight some Faeries.
- Faerie Kingdom History 7 – Along the Story path after clearing a barrier by destroying 3 cores.
Altar of the Faerie King (1)
- Faerie Kingdom History 8 – On the story path right by the Sanctuary
