At EVO Japan 2023, SNK announced the return of The King of Fighters XIII for modern platforms. The King of Fighters XIII Global Match brings the beloved fighting game to Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 with several new features.
The King of Fighters XIII Global Match is a newly improved version of the original KOF XIII fighting game with rollback netcode and improved online features. Before its launch, an open beta test will be held for the PlayStation 4 version in early summer 2023. This open beta test allows players to test out the performance of the game’s rollback netcode before the full launch.
Alongside the announcement of The King of Fighters XIII Global Match, SNK revealed free DLC character Goenitz is coming to The King of Fighters XV this summer. Goenitz will be available alongside a free update for the game. Additionally, SNK confirmed DLC character Kim Kaphwan launches on April 4, and Sylvie Paula Paula joins the roster later this summer. Najd will release sometime after Goenitz, and two more DLC characters are planned for autumn and winter 2023 respectively.
