    Atelier Ryza Anime Announced for Summer 2023

    Adapting the first game of the Secret trilogy.

    Koei Tecmo and Gust announced via its Atelier 25th Anniversary program that Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout will receive an official anime adaptation. The new Atelier Ryza anime premieres in summer 2023 worldwide, and more details have been revealed.

    Liden Films will be producing the new anime according to Koei Tecmo and Gust’s official website. The anime will cover the events of Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout, which is the first game in the “Secret” trilogy. Ema Yuzuriha serves as director with Yashichiro Takahashi overseeing series composition. Character designs and music are handled by illustrator Tomoyuki Shitaya and composer Kazuki Yamagawa respectively.

    The voice cast from the original game returns to reprise their roles. Additionally, Aniplex published a brand-new interview with Reisalin Stout voice actress Yuri Noguchi and a teaser trailer for the new anime. Noguchi shares her thoughts about returning to the series once more for the anime.

    The Atelier Ryza anime arrives a few months after the release of Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End & the Secret Key, which is the final game in the “Secret” trilogy. Ryza and her friends set out on their final summer journey to uncover secrets of a mysterous land near Kurken Island. 

    Atelier fans may also look forward to a new remake of Atelier Marie from the original PlayStation. Atelier Marie Remake: The Alchemist of Salburg launches on July 17, a few months after Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End & the Secret Key.

    Lastly, Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End & the Secret Key releases March 24 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam.
