HoYoverse revealed new details for Genshin Impact involving Alhaitham, his move set, and much more. The company also released a new character teaser trailer featuring Alhaitham.
Alhaitham is the current scribe of the Sumeru Akademiya and acting Grand Sage following the events of the main Sumeru storyline. He is a Dendro DPS character that uses Chisel-Light Mirrors and a sword in combat. As seen in the main story of Genshin Impact, Alhaitham enjoys reading and watching others fall into confusion.
When using his Elemental Skill, Alhaitham rushes forward to generate the Chisel-Light Mirrors. The character gains Dendro Infusion as the Chisel-Light Mirrors persist in combat. These Chisel-Light Mirrors will deal additional AoE damage, and attacks unleash Dendro projectiles.

When Alhaitham activates his Elemental Burst, Particular Field: Fetters of Phenomena, any remaining Chisel-Light Mirrors will be consumed. The Elemental Burst create a large field that unleashes multiple instances of AoE Dendro damage. Consumed Chisel-Light Mirrors increase the Elemental Burst’s damage even further. However, Alhaitham generates new Chisel-Light Mirrors shortly after the attack.
