Dengeki Online and Falcom released new screenshots for The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel Northern War anime depicting returning characters such as Sara Valestein and Millium Orion, and more. Additionally, voice actors for the respective characters were announced.
Sara Valestein, Millium Orion, Brigadier General Wallace Bardias, and General Aurelia Le Guin were shown in screenshots for The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel Northern War. Millium, Wallace, and Aurelia maintain their signature appearance from The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel II. Moreover, Sara is depicted in her Northern Jaegers outfit. The anime will include flashbacks to Sara’s younger years in the jaeger corps.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel Northern War features 12 episodes covering the events of the North Ambrian conflict. Specifically, the Northern War takes place after The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel II and before The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III. North Ambria was annexed into the Erebonian Empire following the events of the war.
Lastly, The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel Northern War anime premieres on January 8, 2023 on Japanese broadcasting networks and Crunchyroll.
